How Can lower Abdominal Pain Along With Constipation be Treated?
my 21 year old son called and said he has been having lower abdominal pain for the past few days he thought he was constipated so he has been drinking prune juice and he has had bowel movements, but last night he started having sever pain in his right testicle and this morning it is swollen twice its normal size and his penis is swollen
I have gone through the medical history of your son and am sorry for his current health situation.
Constipation is often associated with lower abdominal pain, which is diminished after having bowel movements.
In your son's case, this pain has not been reduced yet. Furthermore, he is experiencing swollen testicles and penis. This can be due to genital infection/inflammation.
So, I highly recommend him to go to ER as immediate physical examination by urologist is needed together with lab tests (ultrasound of abdomen and uro-genital organs, complete blood count, urine analysis).
Wish fast recovery.
